In pursuit of development and in connection with its research and development activities, ABC Czepczynski Sp. z o.o. Sp. k. is implementing a project subsidized by European Funds:

Development of an innovative Cyber Shipping service based on modern information technologies, including AI and machine learning.

Project objective

To develop a product innovation – an improved forwarding service implemented on the basis of modern information technologies (from the area of artificial intelligence, machine learning, cloud computing and hybrid), responding to the identified needs in terms of improving transport safety, timeliness and continuity of deliveries (ETA indicator) and reducing the negative impact on the environment (reduction of empty kilometers), while lowering the cost of logistics process implementation.

Implementation of the Project is the Company’s response to the identified lack of similar solutions in the market, as well as the crisis in the industry due to the pandemic in the freight forwarding and transportation services sector. The tool developed in the research process will be the first such comprehensive solution available in Europe, integrating data on transport needs in a given market with car location, information on the place and date of availability of a car for the next order, taking into account data on driver working time and necessary breaks in his services in accordance with local regulations. This will enable the provision of significantly improved services in terms of optimization of working time, costs, empty kilometers and CO2 emissions. It will streamline logistics and warehousing processes, ensure security of deliveries and goods, creating not only an obvious competitive advantage in the market, but solving climate and industry challenges in the TSL market.

Planned results

The result, which will be a modern IT system, an intermediary service for transport services and a modern transport and logistics management process, will be dedicated to the ABC-Czepczynski freight forwarding company, and the users and indirect beneficiaries of the solutions will be both transport companies, FMCG manufacturing companies and operators of transport platforms and exchanges.

The result of the Project will be a significantly improved freight forwarding service responding to identified customer needs for improved safety, timeliness and continuity of deliveries, reduction of negative environmental impact and cost reduction of logistics processes.

Funding

The project is co-financed by the European Union with funds from the European Regional Development Fund under the Intelligent Development Program 2014-2020. The project is implemented under the competition of the National Center for Research and Development: Fast Track. Value of the project: 11,097,356.25 PLN.
